Cancer didn’t cancel this Anniversary
In April 2025, I wanted to share my unique gifts in crafting highly personalized weddings in a short time frame in anyway I could. That’s when I started researching relevant nonprofit organizations and learned about Wish Upon a Wedding, a 501c3 that gifts weddings to people facing life altering health circumstances. Given the quick turnaround for so many of these clients, I knew Events in a Crunch could make a difference in people’s lives — bringing the joy they so greatly deserve.
That’s when I met Alyssa & AB.
Alyssa: Dance lover and foodie, diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer.
AB: Advocate and civil servant supporting Alyssa through every turn.
In just 2 months, we brought their gothic rustic vision to life. No detail was missed. And most importantly, we insured that Alyssa could still enjoy all her favorite foods in bite sized ways to help savory every moment of the experience.
The outdoor ceremony they always dreamt of by an oak tree in the rain, Custom wig to match her original hair and a custom dress to accommodate Alyssa’s new frame and feeding system. An array of 6 wonderful food and beverage vendors. And an absolutely beautiful micro wedding celebration with their 50 closest family and friends.

By the time of this writing, we’re sad to share that Alyssa has passed and is survived by her husband AB and her son. The days together will never be forgotten. And I am so honored and blessed to have spent those 2 months bringing her wedding dream to life.
